John Wolferstieg

Ghent- John H. Wolferstieg passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.  He was 67 years old.  John was born in Hudson and remained in the  area for his entire life.  He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Betrice Wolferstieg, his brother Harold Wolferstieg , his sister Beatrice Race and his sister, Carol Wolferstieg.  He is survived by the love of his life, Lisa Wolferstieg and his extended family, John and Ashley Finkle and their  children Tyler and Elizabeth.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many great nieces & nephews.  He was Nonnie or Uncle John or Papa Bear or Henry to many!

John was the owner of Eagle Grounds Maintenance for 25 years and the family would like to extend our thanks to all of his customers over the years.  We also extend our thanks and gratitude to the Columbia County Sheriff's deputies, the coroner and the Greenport Rescue Squad for  their efforts and care and concern.

Arrangements are by Meyers Funeral & Cremation Funeral Service,   Per John's adamant wishes, There will be no services but his ashes will be scattered on Long Beach Island, NJ
